The characteristics of titanium foundry wastes are given and the methods of preparation
of wastes and their involvement in the charge for shaped titanium casting by manufacturing
waste electrodes from the waste and loading them directly into the crucible before
melting heat, and types of furnaces for producing shaped castings from titanium alloys
are examined. The economic efficiency of waste utilization in the production of titanium
shaped castings is estimated.
